Small pot

I made this one on the wheel. I was having a good throwing day. the thing I really like about it is the glaze. I actually took time to glaze. Sometimes you get busy making things that when it comes time to finish it and glaze you are so tired that you just want to dip it in what ever glaze is handy. But when you take your time it turns out better.

Variations

These are variations of the smaller winged sphere. These are bigger but not better. I like the frame that the white wings give the one on the left it has a nice shape to it but I don't necisearily like the feel of the finger-like wings. The other one is too flat

Winged sphere

Interesting concept and a work in progress. I had this image of a perfectly round sphere with these wings breaking through and flowing out of it. I think it would be more impressive on a grand scale. Like one of the big bronze sculptures. This one is the handheld version.

the wings don't line up and they are not supposed to

Geese

Egyptian geese: the assignment was to take something from art history and make 3 original pieces based off of the art history. I chose a fresno from egypt of some geese.

this one is cone 10 and the mot unique of the group.

This one was the first one I made. This one looks most like the fresno. However, it was extreml frustrating to make it standing up therefore the other 2 are sitting. this one is cone 6 glaze I believe.

and last the cone 4 goose just plain and simple.

brass

Yes I do use other mediums! This one is brass. My first experiance casting brass it is a very different process.

Cups

The first 2 I did on the wheel and the last one is coils it is part of a set.

Cracked

I made these eggs with the idea in mind that I would use some white crackle Raku glaze. I saved broken eggshells to go off of.

No glaze on them yet but they are still cool.
